Runs an evergreen sale wearing whichever holiday it forgot to take down
Why it converts
The announcement bar and a nav item say “LABOR DAY SALE | UP TO 48% OFF.” The hero bar inside the page says “4th of July SALE | BUY 1 GET 1 FREE” above a live countdown, and a scarcity strip reads “87% sold.” Two holidays two months apart on one page, both counting down, and a delivery promise still offering to ship “FREE by Fri, May 8.” The underlying BOGO is permanent; the seasonal dressing is what gets swapped, or here, does not.
What to steal
The mechanic underneath is genuinely good and worth stealing: two independent wallet pickers, so the buyer configures both halves of the BOGO before reaching the cart and “get one free” becomes a specific second product they chose. What the stale holiday exposes is that the countdown was never tied to anything. A timer that resets, and a sale named for a holiday that has passed, teach a repeat visitor that the urgency on your page is decoration.
