Adds up the purchases its ingredients replace before comparing the cup price
Why it converts
The list puts a price on buying ingredients through separate products before it reaches the cost of a cup. Reason two says a prebiotic supplement “adds about $1 a day”, while reason three asks “Buying those in capsules?” before quoting “$2-3 a day.” The final reason brings those alternatives together under “Add it up:” and lists a latte, L-theanine, fiber and mushroom supplements. The last line of that calculation is “Or… $1.33 for MUD\WTR.” These are the page's price comparisons, not independently verified savings, but they give the reader a different basket to compare against the drink.
What to steal
List the purchases a buyer would otherwise make to get what is included in your product. Establish each alternative before adding the costs together beside your price. This works when the reader genuinely buys those alternatives and the quantities are comparable. It fails when the calculation assumes purchases the buyer would never make.
