Hey, it's Ezra 👋

You asked for my top tips on building your first advertorial or listicle. Here they are, in the order I'd actually build the page.

Quick reminder of why these pages work. A cold visitor from Meta doesn't know you and doesn't trust you yet. A product page asks for the sale anyway. An advertorial or listicle educates them and builds trust first, so by the time they see your offer they're warm.

On my own brand, our product page converted around 2.5% after years of optimizing it. When we started testing presell pages, they converted 4-5%.

1. Pick the right format

Listicle ("5 Reasons Why..."): easy to skim, and every reason is a chance to sell. Best when you have several clear benefits, or when you're convincing people to switch from something they already use.

Example: Grüns, "5 Reasons Why Millions Are Ditching Green Powders for Grüns"

Advertorial (reads like an article or a personal story): best when your product needs a story to make sense, or the buyer has tried everything and is skeptical.

Example: Comfrt, "I used to dread flights. Then I found the hoodie that finally let Me Consistently Sleep Through Them."

Not sure? Start with a listicle. It's the easiest to write and the easiest to test.
